Sorry I haven’t any photos, but for all who’ve prayed…. Daniel just came out of surgery at Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok, where a tuberculosis infected lymph gland was removed. He’s sleeping in the recovery room as I write this. Most likely, the noncontagious and treatable illness has hampered Daniel since our initial stay in Cambodia. Daniel’s surgeon was the same who removed Josiah’s tonsils December 28, 2006. Sufficient funds have been received to pay for all associated costs. Thanks to all who have prayed and shared so generously. Grace, Christi & Josiah are doing well. Pray for Anna Thompson who is suffering from shingles. Christi has been teaching Children’s SUnday morning Bible hour in Anna’s absence.

Tim, Grace and children: We are not saddened, rather we are strengthened by the trials through which you walk with such faith and patience. We did not know the need except that we are called to pray daily for you. I feel where the struggles are great the victories will also be great – darkness gives ground grudgingly but must give ground none the less. I encourage you in two things (1) I have always questioned why God “rested” after 6 days of creation – that is the purist in me I suppose – but now it has been made clear as glass. “Rested” is the same Hebrew word as “celebrated” – looking at the works of creation God didn’t rest as we think of resting from long and difficult toil, instead he danced in celebration over His wonderfully complex gift to man. We once lived in authority over all of creation until, by deception, Satan wrestled it from our grasp. Jesus Christ, the Cross and His resurrection reclaimed authority!!! Speak with authority to every situation! (2) God cannot change His nature and that nature is to ‘Tabernacle’ with man – to walk side by side, exist in the presence of, and share day-to-day life with – His creation. Pray for that relationship, live for that relationship, and expect that relationship because it is what God desires for Himself and us. We will pray daily.
