Tonight it was Grace’s birthday honor to walk with the Torah (above) and to read God’s Holy Word from a 75-year old Holocaust survivor written in Hebrew on lamb skin and impaled on wood.

In her presentation, Grace challenged all to follow after Adonai (God) with our whole heart and not simply to go through the motions while living any way we like. We are to walk in trusting faithfulness to God, according to His precepts out of love and gratitude to Him, and not to be conformed to the evil world system.

Christi’s Bat Mitzvah

Bat Mitzvah

Bat Mitzvah means “Daughter of the Commandments”. Tonight, reading from the Torah, Christi declared her intention to walk in the ways of the LORD. “We must fervently and passionately seek God.  Zeal for the LORD should characterize our lives. Phineas saw the evil in the camp and passionately executed judgement because he loved God and sought His righteousness. Elijah stood apart from the evil exhibited in idol worship because he fervently sought God and was determined to walk in His ways. Yeshua, consumed with zeal , drove out the evil that desecrated the holiness of God’s temple. We are to have a burning hot zeal for God, as opposed to the luke warmness described in Revelation 3:15-16. There can be no waffling between two opinions. Because God is God, we should serve him!”
